Dear Irwin Families,
As we reach the close of another remarkable school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the journey we have shared and to express my heartfelt appreciation to our entire school community.
To our teachers and staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence and for inspiring our students every day. Your passion, patience, and hard work are the foundation of our success.
To our families, we are grateful for your partnership and continued support. Your involvement plays a vital role in helping our students thrive.
And to our students, I am incredibly proud of all you have accomplished this year. As you move forward whether to the next grade level, a new school, or the next stage of your journey carry with you the lessons you have learned, the friendships you have built, and the confidence to pursue your dreams.
As summer begins, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. Stay safe, stay curious, and continue learning in new and exciting ways.
Thank you for being part of our school community. I look forward to welcoming everyone back in the coming school year.

As we wrap up the school year, I would like to take a moment to congratulate all our students on their hard work and accomplishments. It has been a pleasure supporting their health and well-being throughout the year.
As we head into summer break, it’s important to continue making healthy choices. Encourage your children to stay active, eat balanced meals, drink plenty of water, and get adequate sleep. With warmer weather, remember to apply sunscreen regularly, practice water safety, and take precautions to avoid overheating.
Summer is also a great time to check in on your child’s health needs. Consider scheduling annual physicals, dental check-ups, and ensuring immunizations are up to date in preparation for the upcoming school year.
AS A FINAL NOTE: All student medications kept in the health office must be picked up by a parent or guardian on or before the last day of school. Medications cannot be sent home with students. Any medications not picked up will be disposed of according to school policy.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community healthy and safe. I wish all our students and families a happy, safe, and healthy summer!
Sincerely,
Nurse McAllister
As the school year comes to an end, we wish all of our students a safe, fun, and relaxing summer! Enjoy time with family and friends, play outside, and make great memories. While you’re having fun, don’t forget to keep your brain active, too! Try reading a book each day, writing in a journal, or visiting your local library or a museum. Small learning activities can help you stay sharp and ready for the next school year.
Did you know that June is also Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month? This is a time to remember that everyone’s feelings matter. It’s important to talk to someone you trust if you’re feeling stressed, sad, or worried. Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. Have a wonderful summer, Mustangs—stay safe, keep learning, and take care of yourselves! 🌟
Keep Reading All Summer Long!
Summer is here but reading and learning don’t have to stop! One of the best ways to help students stay confident and prepared for the next school year is by preventing the “summer slide.”
What is the Summer Slide?
The “summer slide” happens when students lose some of the reading and learning progress they made during the school year because they stop practicing those skills over the summer months. Research shows that even small amounts of regular reading can make a big difference!
Summer reading should be fun—not homework!
