MBN News - Mustangs Broadcasting Network
Mustangs Broadcasting Network airs a daily, live news broadcast: MBN News. Members of the MBN News Team are 5th graders who have the opportunity to manage various roles such as anchors, script writers, teleprompter controller, audio and video technician, and live broadcast producer. Applications for the 1st and 2nd quarter teams are submitted at the end of the last school year. The team members are announced at Open House in August. An online application for the remainder of the year is made available again in January.
Our live broadcasts air daily by 8:15 am. Students from all grades are invited to sign up as a daily special guest. Guests receive a practice script to take home that indicates the date of their visit. A link to the Mustangs Broadcasting Network is on the home page of our website. Be sure to subscribe to our channel so you do not miss out on the news and other video productions.Â
Open to: Interested 5th grade students with teacher recommendation, student application, and parent permission. A special guest student is included each day. Any student, any grade, with media release permission can participate as a special guest.
Meets on: Monday, Wednesday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Meeting Time: 8:00 each morning and until 3:45 on Thursday
