Teddy Bear Clinic
Presented by Womack Army Medical Center
Irwin's second and third grade students were delighted to participate in a Teddy Bear Clinic presented by the 2024 Womack Army Medical Center's Nurse Month Committee. The purpose of a Teddy Bear Clinic is to educate and empower children regarding doctor's offices and hospitals.
Students rotated to visit with four groups of nurses from different specialty areas of Womack Army Medical Center. Interactive play with stuffed animals allowed children to take the role of a nurse and provide care. They also learned about the various roles of a nurse based on their area of specialization. We are appreciative of this outreach and partnership with Womack's compassionate nursing community.
