MOMC Clap In

April is a special time for our school as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor and recognize the unique sacrifices and contributions of our military-connected students. This year, we kicked off the month with an enthusiastic welcome as parents and staff lined up to cheer on our students as they entered the building. The energy setting a positive tone for the month ahead.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful parent organization for their generous support in providing Purple Up t-shirts for all students. Every Wednesday in April, our students proudly wear their purple shirts, symbolizing the strength and resilience of military children.

The fun doesn't stop there! We have an array of exciting events planned throughout the month, including thematic dress days that allow students to showcase their creativity and school spirit. One of the highlights will be a special concert featuring our talented 3rd graders, who have been practicing diligently to put on a fantastic performance both during the day for their school and in the afternoon for their families.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that the 82nd Airborne Chorus will be performing for our staff and students. This incredible group will bring their powerful voices and inspiring music to our school, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone.

To add to the excitement, we have mystery military guest readers visiting classrooms each Wednesday in April. These special guests will share their stories and read to our students, providing a unique and engaging experience that highlights the importance of literacy and the diverse backgrounds of our military community.

We are so proud of our military-connected students and their families, and we look forward to celebrating them throughout the Month of the Military Child. Let's make this April a month to remember!
